Screencasting transmits your device’s screen to your TV via your
Chromecast.
It’s a bit annoying that you need a Chromecast for it to
work when other
manufacturers offer direct-to-TV transmission, but if
you do have the dongle, it’s
quite useful. To beam your homescreen over
to your TV, simply swipe down the
notifications bar and select “Cast
screen”.
