Android Lollipop helpfully now gives you notifications on your lock
screen – you
can even action them without unlocking the device. But
notifications flashing up
on the home screen does present a privacy
issue, because not everyone wants
their personal texts and emails
visible to whoever wakes the device. To turn this
off, go to Settings
> Sound & Notification > When Device is Locked and select
“don’t show notifications at all”.
